Margot seemingly used her time on the set of Barbie, where she stars as the iconic doll alongside Ken, played by Ryan, to persuade the 41-year-old actor to appear in the film, which she’s set to produce.

Ryan is now said to be in serious talks for the upcoming Warner Bros prequel of the 1960s thriller, which Margot is producing alongside Jay Roach, the man behind the Austin Powers films.

The script will be set in Europe in an ‘original’ Ocean’s story that will be unconnected to either the original film or the George Clooney-led 2000s reboot series, according to Variety.

If Ryan jumps on board it would be yet another ‘coming soon’ to add to his roster.

Barbie is set for release in 2023, and he will also star in Universal’s The Fall Guy reboot alongside Emily Blunt.

The father-of-two is also signed up for a reunion with The Place Beyond the Pines director Derek Cianfrance for the Wolfman remake and the sequel to Netflix’s hit, but critically panned, action film, The Gray Man.

Ocean’s Eleven, starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, was a heist comedy about con artists who stole millions from a Las Vegas Casino.

In 2018, Sandra Bullock led an all-female starring cast for a reboot, Ocean’s Eight.

Meanwhile, Ryan recently revealed he agreed to star in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie after he found a Ken doll in his backyard.

He said: ‘Best script I’ve ever read. I walk out in the backyard and you know where I found Ken? Face down in the mud next to a squished lemon.’

Explaining that the doll belonged to one of his daughters with Eva Mendes, Ryan added: ‘I texted it to Greta and said, “I shall be your Ken, for this story must be told.”‘

The film also stars America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae and Will Ferrel.

Ryan also recently teased some surprising details on his portrayal of Ken, saying: ‘Ken’s got no money, he’s got no job, he’s got no car, he’s got no house.’
